St. Francis of Assisi Parish is a “Stewardship Parish”
The Gift of Treasure
While the Time and Talent aspects of stewardship are somewhat interwoven and involve more public actions, the Treasure aspect of stewardship is private. As with Time and Talent, the Treasure aspect of stewardship calls us to personal introspection.
We have to ask ourselves how much of the Treasure we receive from our Creator is to be “paid forward” in loving thanks to Him.
The pure answer to this difficult question (from a stewardship perspective) is nothing. We don’t have to give anything. The real question is “How much do we want to give?”
Stewardship is not minimum giving. It is maximum giving. That means giving as much as we can, as often as we can, from the heart. Money and all the things that we possess are gifts from God that we are asked to care for and to generously share for our own benefit and the good of others.
